Questions we hear often

How long does a typical coaching engagement last?

Our shortest programme is four sessions over eight weeks (transition coaching). The leadership clarity programme runs for twelve weeks with six sessions. Some clients add a monthly check-in after their programme ends, which costs £180 per session. We do not lock anyone into a long-term contract; you can stop after any session if you feel you have what you need.

Do you work with people outside Scotland?

Yes. About 40% of our clients are based elsewhere in the UK, and we have coached leaders in Dublin, Amsterdam and New York over video. Time-zone differences of up to five hours are manageable; beyond that, scheduling becomes trickier and we will be upfront about it.

Is the discovery call really free?

It is. The call lasts about 30 minutes. We will ask about your role, what prompted you to look into coaching, and what a good outcome would look like for you. By the end, we will both know whether there is a fit. If there is not, we will say so and, where possible, suggest someone who might be a better match.

Can my company pay for the programme?

Absolutely. Most of our clients are sponsored by their employer. We invoice the company directly and can provide a scope-of-work document for procurement. Confidentiality still applies: we do not share session content with your HR team or line manager unless you explicitly ask us to.

What makes your approach different from other coaches?

Fiona spent fourteen years in operational management before becoming a coach. She has hired, fired, restructured and sat through difficult board meetings. When you describe a problem, she understands the organisational dynamics around it, not just the emotional experience. Every session includes a specific task to complete before the next one. We track outcomes over six and twelve months so we can show you (and your sponsor) what actually changed.
